This course gives NDIS support workers a clear, practical understanding of mental health — with a specific focus on borderline personality disorder (BPD) and how to respond to participants experiencing emotional distress or crisis. Delivered by a practising clinical psychologist, the course moves from foundational concepts (the biopsychosocial model, common mental health diagnoses) through to skills you can use on shift: reading behaviour as communication, recognising escalating risk, using validation and active listening, and holding professional boundaries without burning out.
No prerequisites required: Suitable for all support worker experience levels.
